Model 12-U-158, 1937.
This
console features 12 tubes, a huge over-sized black dial, the
Zenith bee-hive shaped acoustic adapter behind the 12-inch
auditorium speaker, and ultra short-wave tuning as notated
by the “U” in the model number. There were different
dials produced for this model. One version has the
Zenith logo printed on dial. This radio has the Zenith Logo
screen printed on the glass which is the more rare version. $149.95 was the
original price for this fabulous Zenith console.
