Zenith Model 5-S-29, 1936.  This 5-tube gothic tombstone really packs a punch.  It has great reception on all bands and there is plenty of power to fill the room.  This simple and relatively easy to find tombstone has always been one of my favorites.  The 5-S-29 tunes 5 wave bands on 3 simplified dial ranges, has a 6-inch dynamic speaker, individually illuminated  bands and Split-Second Tuning.  The printed price in the 1936 Zenith Radio brochure for this tombstone is $39.95, but in my copy it's crossed out and $42.95 is penciled in.  Looks like the price increased on this radio sometime after the brochures were printed.
