Model 12-A-58, 1936.They
called this 12-tube model the poor man’s Stratosphere.
It features a stylish cabinet with a wooden torch centered
in the large concave grille area.This
model uses the same chassis as the 12-A-57 but incorporates
a 12-inch auditorium dynamic speaker and a 6-inch high
frequency speaker (Dimensional Tone).The
4 bands are individually illuminated with different
colors. Other
features include: Split-Second and Shadowgraph
tuning and Overtone Amplifier. Original
price: $159.95. If I could only have one radio
excluding the Stratosphere models, this would be the
one!
